Patricia Pino
The soft hands that make beautiful knitwear.
Each Soft Hands creation is made with love by Chilean-born master knitter Patricia Pino.
Patricia comes from a long line of passionate knitters. Her fondest childhood memories are absorbing the knowledge of her mother and grandmother as she sat beside them to learn the timeless art of knitting and its many techniques.
Together, as they explored knitting and crochet, Patricia remembers her grandmother’s soft and nimble hands; how the delicate work seemed to stop them from aging. And this is where the name Soft Hands takes its inspiration.
Following her dreams, Patricia began work in the Australian knitting industry in 2007 and has since gained wide recognition for her unique mastery of the craft.
It’s with great joy that she shares her work with you through her own Soft Hands label.
Our Garments
A quintessential trait of Soft Hands is the use of natural yarns and fibres that are skillfully woven into stunning patterns and textures. Because of this, pilling and friction may occur so you should take extra special care of your delicate garment according to our care instructions.
Because each item is made with Patricia’s own hands, some natural variation will occur – this makes each poncho, wrap, throw or blanket unique and honours the authenticity of handmade knitwear.
